Prams, strollers and push chairs can be taken on buses, trains and trams. Drivers or a passenger attendant can set up the access ramp if you need assistance boarding a bus, train or tram.
Prams should not be parked in the aisles or block other passengers, instead you can:
- use priority seating areas near the doors and sit alongside your pram,
- store folded prams in the designated luggage areas.
- It’s safest to leave your child strapped in the pram, and where possible, face the child to the rear of the vehicle.
- Always apply pram brakes.
- Don't hang heavy items from the pram, as they could cause it to tip.
- When approaching the end of your trip, use the stop button in the priority seating areas to let the driver know you need a ramp to exit the vehicle.
- Exit with the child facing towards the inside of the vehicle.
