Buy & Go is Adelaide Metro’s ticketing app allowing you to purchase your tickets on your smart phone at any time and is great for users without a metroCARD or travelling in small groups.

Buy & Go tickets are the same as metroCARD fares with tickets available to purchase within the app.

Please note that you can only buy and use off-peak tickets during off-peak times.

Buy & Go tickets are non-refundable, so choose carefully and double-check your order before payment.

How to use the app

  • You can download the app on any smart phone (iOS 13 and above or Android 8 and above).
  • Each Buy & Go account requires a separate email address: you cannot assign more than one Buy & Go account to the same email address.
  • Your Buy & Go account is separate to your metroCARD account.
  • Simply activate your ticket within the app once you’re ready to validate on board. You can activate up to five tickets at a time.
  • Stored tickets that are not used will expire after 12 months and are non-refundable.

Where can you use your Buy & Go tickets?

Buy & Go tickets are available to use on all trams and buses and for transfers to trains departing from the Adelaide Railway Station.

Can I download the app and set up my account before I travel to Adelaide?

Yes, Buy & Go is available throughout Australia and in 177 other countries and regions. Android users in Singapore are currently unable to access the app, and we are working to resolve this issue.
