Regional Transport SA
Regional bus services
Adelaide Metro has a range of contracted private regional transport providers to run bus services outside the metropolitan network.
Our regional bus services provide regular bus routes for schools, as well as connecting smaller towns and centres. These bus services also offer connections between regional South Australia and metropolitan Adelaide. Look at the regional transport route map and start planning your next journey.
Regional transport apps
You are now able to track your regional bus service along its journey thanks to real time tracking deployed by our regional transport operators.

Community passenger networks
Community Passenger Networks coordinate transport services for eligible people who are unable to access public transport due to distance, mobility, availability, are unable to drive themselves or are unable to access another person to transport them. Transport may be by vehicle with an accredited volunteer driver or referral to an appropriate local service. The Community Passenger Networks are a complementary service to the regional bus services and bookings for the Murray Mallee, Northern, Yorke Peninsula and Mid North regional medical bus services are managed by the providers of the Community Passenger Network in those regions.
The Community Passenger Network supports South Australians to access services and activities in the local community; to get to the local library or community centre, supermarket, bank, pharmacy, to a social event or to a medical appointment.
There are 15 network providers in South Australia covering the outer metropolitan and regional areas. You can find your local Community Passenger Network on this interactive map.
Department for Education School Services
In addition to the services listed on this page, the Department for Education provide school services for eligible students living in regional South Australia. Information regarding these services and passenger eligibility is outlined on the getting to school page.
