Train line closures across the Easter long weekend

The Seaford and Flinders rail lines will be temporarily closed over the Easter long weekend for scheduled track maintenance and station upgrades. The Belair rail line will also be partially closed to allow for maintenance works.

As part of the closure, major station upgrades to Marino Station will continue, as well as upgrades to Noarlunga and Clarence Park railway stations.

During the closures, train services will not operate between:

  • Adelaide Railway Station and Seaford Railway Station,
  • Adelaide Railway Station and Flinders Railway Station,
  • Adelaide Railway Station and Mitcham Railway Station.

Substitute buses will replace trains services in both directions during these works

This closure will impact AFL fans travelling to the Adelaide Crows vs GWS Giants match on Saturday 19 April. Additional bus services will be operating to and from the city for this match.

When:

  • Seaford and Flinders lines: 8:30 pm Thursday 17 April to last service Monday 21 April 2025.
  • Belair line: 8:30 pm Thursday 17 April to last service Sunday 20 April 2025.

Affecting:

The Seaford and Flinders lines will resume operation from first service Tuesday 22 April 2025.

The Belair line will resume operation from first service Monday 21 April 2025.

Accommodating all passengers:

Every effort is made to ensure timetabled substitute bus services are accessible for all customers, including the elderly, customers with a disability and those travelling with a pram.

Bicycle passengers:

Bicycles are not permitted on rail substitute bus services.
