The Seaford and Flinders rail lines will be temporarily closed over the Easter long weekend for scheduled track maintenance and station upgrades. The Belair rail line will also be partially closed to allow for maintenance works.
As part of the closure, major station upgrades to Marino Station will continue, as well as upgrades to Noarlunga and Clarence Park railway stations.
During the closures, train services will not operate between:
- Adelaide Railway Station and Seaford Railway Station,
- Adelaide Railway Station and Flinders Railway Station,
- Adelaide Railway Station and Mitcham Railway Station.
Substitute buses will replace trains services in both directions during these works
This closure will impact AFL fans travelling to the Adelaide Crows vs GWS Giants match on Saturday 19 April. Additional bus services will be operating to and from the city for this match.
When:
- Seaford and Flinders lines: 8:30 pm Thursday 17 April to last service Monday 21 April 2025.
- Belair line: 8:30 pm Thursday 17 April to last service Sunday 20 April 2025.
Affecting:
The Seaford and Flinders lines will resume operation from first service Tuesday 22 April 2025.
The Belair line will resume operation from first service Monday 21 April 2025.
Accommodating all passengers:
Every effort is made to ensure timetabled substitute bus services are accessible for all customers, including the elderly, customers with a disability and those travelling with a pram.
If you find your large mobility device does not fit on an Adelaide Metro bus, contact the Torrens Transit depot on (08) 8292 8100 to request an accessible taxi. This service is available from train station to train station only. It is not a door-to-door service
Bicycle passengers:
Bicycles are not permitted on rail substitute bus services.

During the full line closure, substitute buses will operate between Adelaide Railway Station and Seaford Railway Station in both directions.

Substitute bus services will operate as closely as possible to the train timetable for the duration of the closure, but we encourage passengers to plan ahead.
The N4 all stopping service and N3 limited stopping service will operate as the substitute bus routes for this closure. These us services will operate between Adelaide Railway Station and Seaford Railway Station.
Substitute bus stops will be positioned as close as possible to the railway stations. These stations and stops are outlined in the Seaford timetable.
The Adelaide Railway Station substitute bus stop will be located at Stop D North Tce - North side.
The Flinders line will be fully closed from 8:30 pm Thursday 17 April to last service Monday 21 April 2025.
Train services will not operate between Adelaide Railway Station and Flinders Railway Station.

During the full line closure, the N7 (an all stopping service) will operate as the substitute bus route. This service will operate between Woodlands Park Railway Station and Flinders Railway Station. Passengers travelling to and from Adelaide Railway Station will need to catch the N4 substitute bus service, then connect with the N7 at Woodlands Park Railway Station.
Substitute bus stops will be positioned as close as possible to the railway stations. These stations and stops are outlined in the Flinders timetable.
The Adelaide Railway Station substitute bus stop will be located at Stop D North Tce - North side and the Woodlands Park railway Station at Stop 17 Adelaide Terrace.
The Belair line will be partially closed from 8:30 pm Thursday 17 April to last service Sunday 20 April 2025.
Train services will not operate between Adelaide Railway Station and Mitcham Railway Station.
Substitute buses
During the partial line closure, substitute buses will operate between Adelaide Railway Station and Mitcham Railway Station in both directions. These services will connect with the arrival and departure of trains services at Mitcham Railway Station.

Substitute bus services will operate as closely as possible to the train timetable for the duration of the closure, but we encourage passengers to plan ahead.
The B1 will operate as the substitute bus route for this closure. This bus service will operate between Adelaide Railway Station and Mitcham Railway Station, as an all stopping service.
Substitute bus stops will be positioned as close as possible to the railway stations. These stations and stops are outlined in the Belair timetable.
The Adelaide Railway Station substitute bus stop will be located at Stop D North Tce - North side. The Mitcham Railway Station stop will be located at Stop 14 Belair Road.
