During the partial Gawler line closure, substitute buses will operate in both directions between Adelaide Railway Station and Salisbury Railway Station. These services will connect with the arrival and departure of train services at Salisbury Railway Station.
Substitute bus services will operate as closely as possible to the train timetables for the duration of the closure. However, passenger are encouraged to plan ahead as substitute bus services can be slower to destinations due to traffic conditions, roadworks and accidents.
The GA1 and GA2 will operate as substitute bus routes for this closure.
- The GA1 express service will operate between Adelaide Railway Station, Mawson Lakes Railway Station and Sailsbury Railway Station.
- The GA2 will operate between Adelaide Railway Station and Salisbury Railway Station (stopping at all stops).

Substitute bus stops will be positioned as close as possible to each railway station. These stations and stops are outlined in the GAWC timetable.
The Adelaide Railway Station substitute bus stop will be located at Stop D North Tce - North side.

Every effort is made to ensure timetabled substitute bus services are accessible for all customers, including the elderly, customers with a disability and those travelling with a pram.
If you find your large mobility device does not fit on an Adelaide Metro bus, contact the Torrens Transit depot on (08) 8292 8100 to request an accessible taxi. This service is available from train station to train station only. It is not a door-to-door service.
Bicycle passengers:
Bicycles are not permitted on rail substitute bus services.
