Temporary weekend closure on the Outer Harbor, Port Dock and Grange rail lines

There will be full line closures on the Outer Harbor, Port Dock and Grange rail lines from Saturday 14 to Sunday 15 December 2024.

This closure will allow for the continuation of upgrades to the Jane Street, West Croydon pedestrian crossing.

During the line closures, substitute buses will operate and replace all train services, travelling in both directions, between Adelaide Railway Station and:

  • Outer Harbor Railway Station
  • Port Dock Railway Station
  • Grange Railway Station.

When:

  • First service Saturday 14 December to last service Sunday 15 December 2024.

Affecting:

Full line services will resume from first service Monday 16 December 2024.

Substitute buses

Substitute buses will operate as closely as possible to the train timetable for the duration of the closure. However, traffic conditions, roadworks and accidents can cause delays in frequency of services.

The H1 substitute bus route will operate between:

  • Adelaide Railway Station and Outer Harbor and Port Dock Railway Station.

The G1 substitute bus route will operate between:

  • Adelaide Railway Station and Grange Railway Station.

Substitute bus stops will be positioned as close as possible to the railway stations. These stations and stops are outlined in the Outer Harbor, Port Dock and Grange timetable. View the service disruption for this closure here.

The Adelaide Railway Station substitute bus stop will be located at Stop W1 North Terrace.

Accommodating all passengers:

Every effort is made to ensure timetabled substitute bus services are accessible for all customers, including the elderly, customers with a disability and those travelling with a pram.

If you find your large mobility device does not fit on an Adelaide Metro bus, contact the Torrens Transit depot on (08) 8292 8100 to request an accessible taxi. This service is available from train station to train station only. It is not a door-to-door service.
