The Outer Harbor and Port Dock line will be partially closed across multiple days to allow work to continue for the Ethelton Station upgrade project.
Temporary partial closures on these lines will be from:
Sunday 29 September to Thursday 3 October 2024
- 7:00 pm to the last service each night.
Saturday 5 October to last service Monday 7 October 2024
- First service to last service each day.
During the temporary closures services will not operate between Woodville Railway Station and Outer Harbor Railway Station.
Port Dock services will not operate between Adelaide Railway Station and Port Dock Station during the night closures.
The $9.9 million upgrade will include new platforms that will be more accessible, improving passenger safety and experience.
Sunday 29 September to Thursday 3 October 2024
- The Outer Harbor rail line will be partially closed from 7:00 pm until last service each night from Sunday 29 September to Thursday 3 October 2024.
- The Port Dock rail line will not be in operation between Adelaide Railway Station and Port Dock Station during this time.
- During this closure:
- Outer Harbor train services will not operate between Woodville Railway Station and Outer Harbor Railway Station.
- Express Outer Harbor train services will stop at all stations between Adelaide Railway Station and Woodville Station, in lieu of the Port Dock train services.
- Substitute bus services will replace all Outer Harbor train services between Woodville and Port Dock Railway Stations to Outer Harbor Railway Station, and will connect with all arriving and departing services at Woodville Railway Station.
- Full Outer Harbor and Port Dock rail line services will resume operating from first service each day.
- Grange rail line train services will continue to operate between Adelaide Railway Station and Grange railway station during the closure.
These closures will enable us to undertake essential works to upgrade Ethelton Railway Station.
Saturday 5 to Monday 7 October 2024
- Temporary partial closure of the Outer Harbor rail line from first service Saturday 5 October to last service Monday 7 October 2024.
- During the partial line closure of the Outer Harbor rail line, train services will not operate between Woodville Railway Station and Outer Harbor Railway Station.
- Substitute bus services will be available, to replace all Outer Harbor train services between Woodville Railway Station and Outer Harbor Railway Station and will connect with all arriving and departing services at Woodville Railway Station.
- This closure will enable us to undertake essential works to upgrade Ethelton Railway Station.
- Full Outer Harbor rail line services will resume operating from first service on Tuesday 8 October 2024.
- Grange and Port Dock rail line train services will continue to operate between Adelaide Railway Station and Port Dock/Grange railway stations during the closure.
Current users of Ethelton Station with mobility issues are encouraged to contact Adelaide Metro on 1300 311 108 to discuss alternative arrangements.
