The Ethelton Railway Station will be temporarily closed from Monday 1 July to late October to undergo station upgrades.

The $9.9 million works include replacing the existing platforms with new platforms that will be more accessible, raised to better align with train doors and wider to allow for improved pedestrian movement.

Commuters are encouraged to use nearby Glanville Station during the construction period.

During the Ethelton Railway Station closure:

  • Outer Harbor services will not service the station during this time.
  • The footpath surrounding the station will be closed. Pedestrians are asked to take care when travelling through the area.
  • Parking at the Ethelton Station carpark will be reduced, and traffic management will be in place. This includes speed restrictions and lane closures during construction. Please take care when travelling through the area and observe signage and traffic controllers.

Current users of Ethelton Station with mobility issues are encouraged to contact Adelaide Metro on 1300 311 108 to discuss alternative arrangements.

We thank Adelaide Metro customers for their patience while we undertake these important works.
