Our smart validators accept a range of ticket options, so it’s important be clear about how you want to pay for your trip. Whenever you are validating, remember to choose, separate, tap!

Choose one ticket option and keep it handy for your whole trip.

Separate your chosen ticket option from your other cards and smart devices.

Tap only your chosen ticket option.

Tap:

• only the card, smart device or app ticket you want to use
• the same card, smart device or app ticket again if you transfer to another vehicle.

Don’t tap:

• with your whole wallet or purse
• with your phone if there are payment cards stored in its case
• if you are on a tram in the free zone.

To avoid an accidental payment, never lean against a smart validator, especially if you have cards or a phone in your pocket or a smart watch on your wrist.

If you do tap more than one payment option at the same time, the smart validator will only validate one payment, but this payment may not be the one you want to use.
