Seaford rail line closures
When: From Saturday 28 November 2020 to Sunday 29 November 2020
Please note the Seaford line is currently operating to a modified timetable for the New Flinders Railway Line.
A weekend partial line closure will take place on the Seaford rail line to allow essential maintenance works to be undertaken on the line’s overhead wiring system. These works cannot be carried out while trains are operating within the rail corridor.
Location: The Seaford line will have a partial closure between Adelaide and Brighton.
When: From first service Saturday 28 November to last service Sunday 29 November 2020.
Passenger services: Train services will operate between Brighton and Seaford, with substitute buses operating between Adelaide and Brighton.
Route and bus stops
Substitute bus services will operate as closely as possible to the train timetable for the duration of the closure.
The substitute bus stops will be positioned as close to railway stations as practicable. These stations and stops are outlined in the timetables below.
28 & 29 November
Wheelchair, mobility aid and pram passengers
Every effort is made so that all timetabled bus substitute services are accessible for all customers, including the elderly, customers with a disability and those travelling with prams.
If customers find their large mobility device does not fit on an Adelaide Metro bus, it is recommended they contact the Torrens Transit Mile End depot on 8292 8113 to request an accessible taxi. This service is available from train station to train station only and not a door-to-door service.
Bicycles are not permitted on bus substitute services.
Trains will resume their normal services the Monday morning.
