Trains will continue to operate between Brighton and Seaford with substitute buses operating between Adelaide and Brighton.
Flinders line substitute bus services will operate between Flinders and Woodlands Park railway stations and connect with the Seaford substitute bus service at Woodlands Park allowing passengers to transfer if travelling to or from Adelaide.
Adelaide Metro will always attempt to provide a frequency of service as outlined in the timetables, however traffic conditions, roadworks, and accidents cause delays in the frequency of services.
Route and bus stops
Substitute bus services will operate as closely as possible to the train timetable for the duration of the closure and connect with the arrival and departure of trains at Brighton.
The substitute bus stops will be positioned as close to railway stations as practicable. These stations and stops are outlined in the timetables below.
Wheelchair, mobility aid and pram passengers
Every effort is made so that all timetabled bus substitute services are accessible for all customers, including the elderly, customers with a disability and those travelling with prams.
If customers find their large mobility device does not fit on an Adelaide Metro bus, it is recommended they contact the Torrens Transit Mile End depot on 8292 8113 to request an accessible taxi. This service is available from train station to train station only and not a door-to-door service.
Bicycles are not permitted on substitute bus services.
Resume train services
Trains will resume their normal services each following morning.
Additional concurrent weekend closures of the Seaford and Flinders rail line will be required during the school holiday periods in July and September/October 2021, and a full network closure around October 2021.
Details of these closures will be advised closer to the dates, once detailed planning has been completed.
