230, 232 and 232R route and timetable change

From Monday 10 August

As part of the Regency Road to Pym Street Project (R2P), the Pym Street east-west connectivity across South Road, Croydon Park will be permanently removed.

As a result, Adelaide Metro buses 230, 232 and 232R will change from Monday 10 August 2020.

The new 230, 232 and 232R route will travel along Torrens Road, South Road and Regency Road and will retain the Go Zone high frequency of services currently provided.

The following bus stops will no longer be used by routes 230, 232 and 232R from Monday 10 August:

  • Harrison Road stops 11, 12, 13 and 14
  • Pym Street stops 14A, 15 and 16
  • Days Road stop 17, 17A and 18

Buses will service new stops 13, 15 and 17 on South Road.

  • Six new bus stop will be installed along South Road surface roads between Regency Road and Pym Street (three each side of the road)
  • These new bus stops will replace existing bus stops along Harrison Road, Pym Street and Days Road
  • 230, 232 and 232R buses will operate via the new route along South Road surface roads from first service Monday 10 August.
  • Stop 14 Harrison Road will be removed from the timetable as buses will no longer service this stop. Stop 10 Torrens Road will be included. 

The bus routes will be changed during project construction to travel directly along the surface roads of the upgraded South Road.

There will be a number of traffic changes at this time as part of the R2P Project second traffic switch.

The works for the traffic switch will be undertaken from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 August, weather permitting.

230 and 232 bus detour

Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 August

As a result of these traffic changes, 230 and 232 buses will detour from first services on Saturday 8 August until last service on Sunday 9 August via Torrens Road, Days Road and Regency Road.

During this detour, passengers can use existing and temporary bus stops along Torrens Road, Days Road and Regency Road.

Harrison Road shuttle bus

A shuttle bus will take passengers to and from Harrison Road bus stops to Torrens Road stop 10 to connect with buses 230 and 232 to and from the city.

Passengers can use existing bus stops on Harrison Road for the shuttle bus.

These changes are a result of the change in east-west movement along Pym Street and are not related to the recent wider Adelaide Metro network review.
