When: From Sunday 3 June 2018

  • Routes affected:

Tram testing and training in progress

As major works for the City Tram Extension Project near completion, tram testing and driver training needs to be carried out on all sections of the tram line.

Tram testing

Tram testing will take place nightly from Sunday 3 June between approximately 12.30am - 4.00am.

Testing will take place in the early hours of the morning to avoid any disruption to normal tram services.

Testing of the line will be conducted on the full network, including the new sections of track along North Terrace to East Terrace, and King William Road to the Festival Plaza precinct.

Other road users are reminded to take care while testing is being carried out.

Driver training

Following tram testing, tram driver training will commence which will involve some additional trams out on the network. Further dates and times of training trams will be provided at a later date.

These training trams will not be for passenger service.

See more information on the City Tram Extension Project.
