New Tram timetable effective Monday 15 October 2007

Terrace to Terrace FREE Tram service
The new North Terrace Tramline extension, commencing in October is now offering free travel from South Terrace to North Terrace (City West Campus). The new service will make it easier for everyone to enjoy the wonderful things Adelaide has to offer in the city as well as connecting you with the rail services at the Adelaide Railway Station.
Tram travel between the two Terraces is FREE
Trams between South Terrace and North Terrace are free at all times departing:
Monday to Friday: 8 am - 5.35 pm every 7.5 minutes on average
Saturday, Sunday and public holidays: 9 am - 6 pm approximately
every 15 minutes
Other times (to Midnight) approximately every 20 minutes
So get on board, and discover how easy it is to get up and go on the Adelaide Metro.
There are so many attractions and destinations directly on the route, and many more just a short walk away like:
All these things – and hundreds more – are found between South Terrace and North Terrace (City West Campus). And the best part of all is that it is free.

The Terrace to Terrace Tramline runs next to a number of
transport links that will take you to all parts of Adelaide:
Grenfell, Currie and King William Streets have buses
leaving to all parts of Adelaide, including the O-Bahn
service to the North Eastern suburbs and Tea Tree Plaza
and the JetBuses to the Airport (J1,J2,J3)
Adelaide Railway Station on North Terrace provides
access to many varied parts of the metropolitan area,
including historic Port Adelaide, the beautiful Adelaide
Hills, our Southern, beachside suburbs and our vibrant Northern suburbs
The City Loop is a FREE bus service. It links with the Tram
at Victoria Square and North Terrace, taking passengers
on a loop around the inner city. Its destinations include
cosmopolitan Rundle Street East, the stunning Botanic
Gardens, University of SA City East Campus and Light

Maximum wait for Trams to Glenelg from North Terrace is 20 minutes, Monday to Friday
Taking the Tram to Glenelg is one of Adelaide’s most popular day trips for locals and visitors alike. It also provides a vital commuter service for people who live along its route. It has been an iconic part of Adelaide for many years. The historic seaside suburb of Glenelg and Jetty Road is a lively mixture of shopping, great places to eat, and a busy beach culture.
Your Tram stop numbers will change
The stop numbers between Jetty Road and Victoria Square have been changed. Please refer to the new stop numbers.
Tram travel along Jetty Road is FREE
From stop 15 to stop 17 on Jetty Road Tram travel is free.
To travel from North Terrace to Glenelg
If you want to travel from North Terrace to Glenelg direct,
board the Glenelg Tram
Monday to Friday: 7.30 am - 6.30 pm approximately
every 15 minutes
Saturday, Sunday and public holidays: 9 am - 6 pm
approximately every 15 minutes
Other times (to midnight) approximately every 20 minutes
To travel from North Terrace to South Terrace
If you want to travel on the free Terrace
to Terrace Tram service, board either the
Glenelg or the South Terrace tram service departing
Monday to Friday: 8 am - 6 pm every 7.5 minutes
on average
Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays: 9 am - 6 pm
approximately every 15 minutes
Other times (to Midnight) approximately every
20 minutes
After South Terrace you’ll need a Metroticket
Don’t forget if you board the Tram between (and including) stop 1 Greenhill Road and stop 14 Glenelg East you’ll need a valid Metroticket for travel. To travel from Brighton Road stop 15 toward the City also requires a valid Metroticket. Failure to travel with a valid Metroticket could incur a fine of up to $180.
