Many Adelaide Metro services are air-conditioned and fully accessible with wheelchair ramps and low floors to make getting on and off the bus easier, and with over 230 metropolitan routes and over 7,500 stops, you’re never far from the Adelaide Metro!

From as little as $1.90* you can travel from Mt Barker to Gawler, or from Gawler to Sellicks Beach and most places in between. Adelaide Metro offers discounts to concession card holders. So why not explore the metro area on the Adelaide Metro today?

Where do I get my ticket?

Singletrip and Daytrip tickets are available from drivers on all buses, from conductors on all trams and from Ticket Vending Machines on all trains. Note: Ticket Vending Machines on trains do not accept notes. They accept $2, $1, 50c, 20c and 10c coins, but not 5c coins.

MetroticketsYou can save on the cost of a Singletrip ticket by purchasing a Multitrip or Daytrip ticket. A Multitrip ticket offers great value and convenience. When you buy a Multitrip you get ten trips for less than the price of seven! A Daytrip ticket allows unlimited travel and transfers on the Adelaide Metro system from the time of validation until 4.30am in the morning! Multitrip tickets are not available for purchase on buses, trams or trains.

Multitrip, Singletrip and Daytrip tickets can be purchased from:

  • The Adelaide Metro InfoCentre, corner of King William and Currie Streets
  • Post Office Agencies displaying Metroticket signage
  • Service Stations displaying Metroticket signage
  • Newsagents displaying Metroticket signage
  • Delis displaying Metroticket signage

Multitrip tickets are also available via the Adelaide Metro InfoLine or on-line! Simply call us on 8210 1000, or visit our on-line Metroticket purchasing page, then use your Visa, Mastercard, Bankcard, or Debit Card and we'll have your tickets in the mail to your home within two working days!

Your personal safety and security

Your personal safety is important to us and the following measures have been introduced to ensure that your trip on the Adelaide Metro is safe and hassle-free.

  • More buses with closed circuit video cameras
  • Safer set down points at night.
  • Drivers now drop passengers at locations closer to their homes on designated routes
  • Video cameras at interchanges
  • All buses are radio linked
  • Security personnel on-board all trains after 7 pm
  • After 8 pm many bus drivers are equipped with mobile phones so if you need to, you can arrange to be collected from your bus stop.
