UPDATED: Bus Stop Management Plan - Anzac Highway

When: From Sunday 10 September 2017

Bus Stop Management Plan - Anzac Highway

The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) sought public feedback earlier this year regarding proposed changes to bus stop locations along Anzac Highway, as part of the Bus Stop Management Plan. DPTI received a significant amount of feedback from the community through this process, which has added great value to the decision making process.

After careful consideration of the feedback received from the community, DPTI has made final decisions on changes to bus stop locations along Anzac Highway. These are:

  • Stop 6 will be removed on both sides
  • Stop 7 on the northern side will be moved to a location approximately 200m northeast between the entrance to the Kurralta Park Shopping Centre and Warwick Avenue
  • Stop 9 to remain on both sides of the road in response to significant community feedback
  • Stop 11 on the northern side and stop 12 on the southern side to remain
  • Stop 19 on the southern side will not be relocated
  • Stop 20 on the northern side will be relocated approximately 90m west to the front of the Holdfast Bay Bowls and Croquet Club, near Darwin Street
  • Stop 20 on the southern side will be removed
  • Stop 21 will not be relocated, but will now be serviced by all Anzac Highway bus routes.

These changes will become operational from Sunday 10 September 2017. You can download a map describing these changes here. Updated timetables are available online now.

This project is part of Operation Moving Traffic, a South Australian Government initiative to improve the efficiency, reliability and safety of the transport network.

A number of bus stops and shelters could be relocated or removed as part of the plan. These proposals are based on DPTI patronage, operational and road safety data. Feedback on these proposals has now closed. Further information visit www.adelaidemetro.com.au/busstops

Alternatively, you can e-mail your feedback to dpti.communityrelations@sa.gov.au

Thank you for your contribution to the consultation process. This project is part of Operation Moving Traffic, a South Australian Government initiative to improve the efficiency, reliability and safety of the transport network.
