Here are some useful public transport hints and tips for getting around Adelaide using Adelaide Metro trains, trams and buses.
Visiting the city centre
The easiest and fastest way to travel to Adelaide’s city centre is on the Outer Harbor train. Board at the Outer Harbor railway station, located just across the road from the Cruise Ship passenger terminal.
With trains departing from Outer Harbor station every 30 minutes seven days a week, you’ll be in the city within 40 minutes.
- The train to get you back to the MS RADIANCE OF THE SEAS with ample time to embark, is the Outer Harbor train from the Adelaide Railway Station departing at 4.12pm.

FREE City Connector – explore Adelaide by bus
Two free City Connector bus services operate around Adelaide and North Adelaide, linking you to popular attractions, shopping, dining and destinations.
The 98A and 98C connect North Adelaide and the city seven days a week, while the 99A and 99C connect the inner city on weekdays.
Together the two loops provide a 15 minute service Monday to Friday.

Visiting Port Adelaide
If you are a bit pressed for time, Port Adelaide is a hive of maritime and rail history. The Outer Harbor train service will get you there in around 20 minutes from the Outer Harbor railway station.
- The train to get you back to the MS RADIANCE OF THE SEAS with ample time to embark, is the Outer Harbor train from the Port Adelaide Railway Station, departing at 4.33pm.

Your ticket to ride - Metrocard
Purchase the special Cruise Ship Metrocard at the Outer Harbor railway station and get around Adelaide all day for just $10, and you can keep your card at the end of your travels as a memento of your time in Adelaide.
On weekends, school holidays and public holidays two children under 15 years of age travel free when accompanied by an adult using a Cruise Ship metrocard/daytrip ticket.
Are you a Seniors Card holder?
Anyone who holds a valid Australian State or Territory Seniors Card is eligible to access free travel on all Adelaide Metro trains, trams and buses at these times:
Monday to Friday
- before 7.00am
- between 9.01am and 3.00pm
- after 7.01pm and
Saturday, Sunday and public holidays
- all day

Adelaide Metro trams run every 10 minutes between the Adelaide Entertainment Centre and the popular Glenelg Beach area via the city.
Tram travel between the Adelaide Entertainment Centre and South Terrace in the city centre is free!
You can board the tram right in front of the Adelaide Railway Station and around 40 minutes later, enjoy some shopping on Jetty Road or a quick dip in the ocean.
Adelaide Metro offers a vast bus network.
